Parkway High School

 

  • Graduated Summa Cum Laude 

  • Also graduated from Bossier Parish Community College with a Certificate of General Studies, GPA 3.98, eight days before receiving his high school diploma (He is the first student in Bossier Parish to achieve this distinction.)

  • Attending Louisiana Tech University on a full scholarship, majoring in Corporate Finance, with a minor in Economics

  • LHSAA All-State Academic Composite Baseball Team (4.0 all four years of high school)

  • Pitched a perfect game (first one in Parkway history) and hopes to play D1 baseball with Louisiana Tech

  • Awarded the State Seal of Biliteracy for Latin

  • Fencing team for 4 years with a varsity letter, fenced in Junior Olympics, and is ranked a D level fencer nationally

  • Won Potter of the Year 2018 at Magnet for his pottery

  • Won Best High School 3D Art at Artbreak this year

  • Involved in Project Talent in pottery

  • President in Junior Classical League

  • Attending LSU for Physics

  • Sung as part of the Magnet Talented Arts Program for vocal music for the past four years

  • Active in Shreveport Opera Chorus, sang the part of the younger brother in Dead Man Walking and was in the chorus for Fiddler on the Roof and HMS Pinafore

  • In Caddo Magnet Players, played leading roles as The Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls

  • Attending ULL with full scholarship for tuition, room, and board

  • Attending TCU in Fort Worth, studying Economics and Business

  • Received two academic scholarships to TCU, and academic scholarships to all six colleges to which she applied

  • One of Mackenzie's college application questions was to explain something that happened over a hundred years ago that affects her still today. She chose to write about Maria Montessori and the development of the Montessori way of learning and how its influence helped Mackenzie grow into the person she is today.
